Now Accepting Applications!!!!

The Moral Courage (MC) Fellowship is now accepting applications for the Spring 2009. If you are interested in engaging in a dynamic group that seeks to affect social change through the exploration of African -American/Jewish-American relations, please apply. Please copy the application from the blog post below and email it to moralcourage09@gmail.com. The deadline is Thursday, January 22, 2009, and applicants will be contacted for interviews the following week. The fellowship will consist of weekly meetings, community engagement projects, guest speakers, movie viewings, and it will culminate in a trip to Civil Rights Movement site in the South at the end of the semester.

Mission Statement: 

The Moral Courage Fellowship aims to build bridges between African American and Jewish American communities through the exploration of shared histories and personal and collective identities.

In order to affect social change, the Fellowship will include:

    *Weekly discussions

    *Educational Workshops

    *Guest Speakers

    *Film Viewings

    *Day Trips within the 5 boroughs to engage in both Jewish American and African American                          communities.
